HUBBARD Evelyn A. Huda, 79, of Hubbard, died on Tuesday evening, January 15, 2008, at Forum Health Northside Medical Center. She was born on April 17, 1928, in Youngstown, a daughter of Samuel and Adeline Ramun Cercone, moving to Hubbard in 1953.
Mrs. Huda was a self-employed hairdresser and also worked at many area salons, retiring in 2003. She was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and attended daily mass at St. Columba Cathedral in Youngstown. She was a 1946 graduate of Struthers High School and graduated from the Lewis, Weinberger & Hill School of Cosmetology at the age of 16. Evelyn enjoyed bowling, golfing, dancing, drawing, playing cards and loved telling jokes.
Her husband, John J. Huda, Jr., whom she married on October 22, 1949, died on April 27, 1980.
She leaves two sons, John J. "Jay" (Grace) Huda, III and Randall J. Huda, both of Hubbard; two daughters, Harrise M. (Charles) Morosky and Adele A. (Raymond) Scharsu, both of Hubbard; a brother, Joseph P. (Dora) Cercone of Boardman; 5 grandchildren, Keith A. and Jon S. Durig, John J. IV and Natalie Huda and Toni Scharsu and 3 great-grandchildren, Amanda, Hailey and Nicholas Durig.
Besides her husband, preceding her in death were her parents, a son, Anthony D. Huda and a sister, Antonette Sutton.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
