YOUNGSTOWN Ethel Smallwood, 82, died Monday evening, April 13, 2009 at her residence. She was born March 22, 1927 in Pikeville, KY a daughter of Linzey and Alice Trout Hylton and has lived in the area for 50 years.

Mrs. Smallwood, a homemaker, was a member of the Old Regular Baptist Church in Pikeville, KY.

She leaves her husband, Ernest, whom she married, December 3, 1949; three sons, Monty (Rose) Smallwood of Boardman, Ellery (Lisa) Smallwood of Youngstown and Bernie Smallwood of Youngstown; three daughters, Judy Webster of Youngstown, Debbie (Bernard) Foster of Niles and Betty (Martin) Kelbel of North Lima; a brother, Pat (Pat) Hylton of Pikeville KY; 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Gary Smallwood; a daughter, Janey Sloan; three brothers, Ray, Pete and Rudy Hylton; a sister Peggy Coleman and a grandson, Michael Raymond Gifford.

Funeral services will be held on Friday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
