HUBBARD Ethel M. Baksa, 96, died Monday morning, December 27, 2010 at Liberty Health Care. She was born November 13, 1914 in Hubbard, a daughter of Michael and Susanna Klucher Baksa and lived most of her life in Hubbard.
Miss Baksa was a Registered Nurse at Northside Hospital retiring in 1976, was a member of St. Patrick Church and served with the Army Air Force during World War II.
Ethel graduated from Hubbard High School, Northside Hospital as a registered nurse, and Cook County Hospital in Chicago. She attended Mt. St. Joseph College in Cincinnati where she received her Bachelor's Degree in nursing and volunteered with the Army Air Force during World War II at Morris Field in Charlotte, NC and received an honorable discharge as a first lieutenant.
She leaves a sister, Mildred L. Baksa of Hubbard; a niece, Jeanne Hagan of California and many cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward Baksa and a sister, Adeline Hagan.
