JACKSON, TN Emerick J. "Jack" Petrinjak, 66, of Jackson, died Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He was born on July 6, 1940 in Hubbard, a son of the late Frank and Tresa Link Petrinjak.
Mr. Petrinjak graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in mechani¬cal engineering and worked for Westinghouse Electric Corporation, where he received two patents related to manufacturing equipment. He moved to Jackson, TN in 1980 and worked for ABB Company in Alamo. Following his retirement in 2001 he enjoyed relaxing at home and spending time with his family. Jack was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and enjoyed serving as a caretaker of Mount Cal¬vary Cemetery.
He leaves his wife of 43 years, Julie Morar Petrinjak; a daughter, Mary Petrinjak of Jack¬son, TN; two sons, Greg (Lana) Petrinjak of Jackson, TN and Kevin (Lynn) Petrinjak of Cen¬treville, VA and a grandchild, Kate Petrinjak of Jackson, TN. He also leaves a brother; Frank (Eleanor) Petrinjak of Hubbard; sisters, Kay Ondich of Farrell, Pa. and Mary Luchetti of Melbourne, FL; brothers-in-law, Larry Morar and Carl Chakan, both of Pennsylvania and many nieces and nephews.
His parents and sisters, Gloria Chakan and Elizabeth Singleton, preceded him in death.
Funeral Mass was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial followed in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Jackson, TN.
Local arrangements were handled by the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
