HUBBARD Elton Wade "Slim" Himes, 77, of Hubbard, died Monday morning, October 17, 2005, at his residence. He was born June 19, 1928, in Butler, PA, a son of Orvis Blair and Xola Mae Shannon Himes and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Himes worked for LTV Republic Steel Division for 38 years, retiring in 1984. Slim enjoyed mechanics and walking his dog.

He leaves a son Courtney B. (Marta) Himes of Howland; a daughter, Christine E. (Donald) Girts of Douglasville, GA and a granddaughter, Gabrielle L. Himes.

His parents, a brother, Orvis Blair Himes and a sister, Grace Duncan, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
