HUBBARD Elizabeth "Betty" Wolanski, 87, of Hubbard died Monday morning, December 22, 2008 at Omni West Assisted Living. She was born August 26, 1921 in Farrell, PA a daughter of Jacenty and Anna Kokot Karolewski and moved to Hubbard in 1947.

Mrs. Wolanski was a secretary for St. Patrick School in Hubbard for 28 years, retiring in 1982 and had previously worked for the Department of Agriculture in Washington, DC for 3 years. Betty was a member of St. Patrick Church, a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a member of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary.

Her husband, Alex P. Wolanski, whom she married March 4, 1945, died January 11, 2001.

She leaves two daughters, Karen (Edward) Pomponio of Canfield, Phyllis (Michael) Gancarcik of Tulsa, OK; a brother, Zigmond Karolewski of Los Alamitos, CA; two grandsons and four great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Patricia Wolanski Struble, a brother, Casimir Karolewski and a half brother, Edmund Karolewski.

Funeral services will be held Saturday January 3, 2009, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Friday January 2, 2009 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
