HUBBARD Elizabeth A. Murphy, 88, of Hubbard, died Thursday, February 12, 2004, at Northside Medical Center. She was born April 10, 1915, in Youngstown, a daughter of
John S. and Bridget A. Moran Garthwaite.

Mrs. Murphy was a bookkeeper for California Savings and Loan for 25 years, retiring in 1980. She attended St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and enjoyed ceramics and bingo.

She leaves a son, James E. (Virginia) Murphy of Hubbard and a daughter, Katherine E. (Edward) Slavin of Frazier Park, CA.; a son-in-law, Randall Wellington of Youngstown; a sister-in-law, Rose Garthwaite of Poland; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; 5 nieces and nephews and her life-long friend, Betty Mentzer.

Her parents, a daughter, Delores Wellington, a son, Thomas R. Murphy and a brother, John Garthwaite, preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Monday, 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home and 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
