It is with sad hearts that the family of Elizabeth Cwynar, age 100, formerly of Hubbard, Ohio, announce her passing on Wednesday, February 25th, 2026.

Elizabeth was born October 19th, 1925 in New Castle, PA to George and Elizabeth (Fackelman) Tencer.

On August 3rd, 1946, she married the love of her life, Frank A. Cwynar, Sr. They were married for 60 amazing years. For 35 years, they owned Cwynar’s Bakery. They were the definition of the all American dream. They worked hand in hand providing a wonderful life for their family.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, playing cards, gardening and family trips to the lake. She welcomed everyone into her home with a cup of tea and a homemade cookie before she told you the latest joke.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Parslow, daughter-in-law, Cheryl Cwynar, granddaughters Amy Lynn (Jason) Witman and Laura Elizabeth Cwynar.

She was preceded in death by her husband, son, Frank A. Jr, her parents, brothers, Joseph, Adam, George, and Samuel (Benny), sisters, Ann Calderwood, Mary Bucci, and Helen Korzek along with 3 infant siblings.

 A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church at 11:00 AM with The Very Reverend Michael Balash officiating.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
