LIBERTY TWP – Eleanor B. McClelland, 92, of Liberty, died Monday morning at her home with her children at her side. She was born October 30, 1920 in Youngstown, a daughter of Michael and Katherine Zikeli Bretz and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. McClelland was a 1938 graduate from The Rayen High School. She was a wife and mother, a member of New Life Lutheran Church in Liberty and a lifetime member of the Saxon Club.
Her husband, Gene L. McClelland Sr. whom she married January 19, 1946 died September 24, 1998.
She leaves a son, Gene L. McClelland Jr. of Liberty; a daughter Ellen (Dale) Bassford of Kula, HI; a grandson, Ian Bassford of Kula, HI; a granddaughter, Sara (Luke) Smitherman of Honolulu, HI; and a great grandson Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Ralph Bretz, Edward Bretz and William Bretz, and three sisters, Emma Greff, Matilda Bretz, and Helen Bretz.
Funeral Services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Friends and family may call on Friday 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Forrest Lawn Cemetery.
Officiating will be Pastor Bill Wessner.
