Biography

A celebration of the life of Edwin H. Cornell will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 5:30 pm at Hubbard Central Christian Church located at 44 South Main Street, Hubbard. It is across from Walgreens and Handy Man Hardware.

Ed was born February 12, 1936 in Masury, a son of Earl D and Virginia L Brindle Cornell. Ed passed on into eternity surrounded by his loving family who was with him around the clock for the last three months. He was an avid bowler in the day bowling in a senior ABC tournament in Mobile Alabama which he qualified for locally. He was an animal lover and leaves his dog Misty. Ed was of the Methodist faith and attended Masury United Methodist Church. He had a deep faith in God. Ed believed Jesus was his savior, his redeemer, and his healer. He thanked God for sending his son to be with us. He enjoyed his job working for his son in law Orlando at Vinylume Products as a semi driver for the past 19 years. During his driving career that spanned over 60 years, Ed drove over six million miles all without an accident. Ed enjoyed nascar, golf, and bowling. He enjoyed watching football on tv and the Browns. He loved Elvis and Johnny Cash music. He leaves two sons, Eddie (Faith) Cornell of Masury, Steve (Roberta) Cornell of Hubbard; a daughter Sally (Orlando) White of North Lima; a brother Bill (Dot) Cornell of Hubbard; seven grand children--Lisa Cornell, Amy Cornell, Amanda (Dave) Kephart, Amelia Cornell, Jack White, Sarah (PJ) Katsaras, and Anna White and great grandchildren Kelli, Samantha and Bubba. We would like to give our sincere thanks to the care givers at Hospice of the Valley who cared for him with tender love and kindness.
