Edward C. Walker M.D. passed away peacefully October 9, 2026 at Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Ed, as he was known, was born April 25, 1950 in Ashtabula, Ohio and was the son of the late Wade and Beryl Bartram Walker.

Ed graduated from Jefferson High School in 1968 before earning a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1972. He went on to earn his medical degree from the College of Ohio at Toledo in 1976.

Dr. Walker was a Radiologist at St. Joseph and St. Elizabeth Hospital, practicing for thirty years in caring for others with dedication and compassion, retiring in 2010. He was also a member of the Ohio State Radiologic Society and the Trumbull County Medical Society.

Ed was a man of strong faith and belief in Jesus Christ. He was a huge fan of Ohio State Buckeye Football. He enjoyed working around his home, in the barn, spending time with family and traveling extensively in the United States and Europe with his family.

Ed’s greatest legacy will live on through the family he loved. He leaves behind his beloved wife, the former Barbara Lyttle, of 53 years; his son Andrew Walker and his wife Ann of Long Island, New York; his daughter Carrie Lewis and her husband Matt of Port Clinton, Ohio; his sister Roberta Lovey of Merritt Island, Florida and five cherished grandchildren, Logan, Aidan and Mason Walker, Ashley and Bryce Lewis, who brought him so much joy.

Dr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Maynard and Donald; his two sisters, Shirley Miner and Joy (Babe) Lee Walker M.D.

A private service will be held for Dr. Walker.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kelley-Cummins Funeral Home.
