LIBERTY Edward J. LaCivita, 57, died Saturday afternoon at Hospice House. He was born September 4, 1951 in Youngstown, a son of John J. and Phyllis A. Papa LaCivita and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. LaCivita was a foreman for Cedar Steel for over 20 years. He was a committee chairman for Boy Scouts of America Troop 55 in Youngstown and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

His wife, the former, Lynn M. Rankin, whom he married September 9, 1972, died March 28, 2008.

He leaves a son, Joseph E. (Fiancée Amy Ambrose) LaCivita of Ashland, OH; three daughters, Anne M. (Tyrone) Barnes of Ft. Wayne, IN, Sherri L. (Spencer) Fountain of Westerville, OH and Melissa L. LaCivita of Liberty; three brothers, Dr. Charles J. (Barbara) LaCivita of Carmel Valley, CA, Atty. Richard J. (Rosemary) LaCivita of Canfield, OH and David F. (Barbara) LaCivita of Boca Raton, FL and ten grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Kara Shives.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm.
