HUBBARD Edward "Jim" James Groover Sr., of Hubbard, passed away peacefully in his home at the age of 81 on Sunday, March 30, 2025. He was surrounded by his family and the pets that he loved so much. He was born November 28, 1943 in Greenville, PA and was a proud United States Army veteran. Following the military, he was an owner-operator truck driver and a Teamster at Preston Trucking Company. During his retirement, he enjoyed working side by side with his son, Brian Groover at Groover Roofing and Siding. He had a passion for camping with his wife, vacationing and snowmobiling with his family and spending time with his animals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Esther White Groover; brothers, Paul and Tom Groover; daughters, Terri Newhouse and Jamie R. Fox and her son, Angelo "Penguin" D'Augostini and a daughter-in-law, Sharri Groover.

Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dian Groover; his sons, Edward "Jimmy" James Jr., Michael, Judd, Brian and Ryan Groover; stepsons, Kevin (Jessica) and Brian (Lisa) Barwell and Jamie (Katie) Fabian; 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; siblings, Silvia Karcesky, David Groover, Anna Reimold and Debbie Sok.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 12, 2025 at 12 Noon at the New Life Baptist Church in New Wilmington with Pastor Tim Fair officiating.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Jim's memory to Tails of Hope, 2450 Hoezle Rd., Hermitage, PA 16148 or to Angels for Animals, 4750 W. South Range Rd., Canfield, OH 44406.

And as Jim would say, "You know that you all are just a bunch of Meatheads!"
