HUBBARD Edward Howard, 76, died Saturday morning December 7, 2013 at Vibra Hospital. He was born January 14, 1937, a son of Fred C. and Vestina Wilson Howard.
Mr. Howard studied Chemistry at YSU and worked at Thomas Steel Strip in Warren where he was a supervisor of the Chemistry Lab, retiring in 1994. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Hubbard where he served as a Deacon and an Elder. Ed loved vacationing at the beach and going to the mountains. He enjoyed gardening, sitting outside watching the birds, and reading. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events.
He leaves his wife the former, Judith A. Evans, whom he married on June 6, 1958; two sons, Paul E. (Linda) Howard of Warren and Matthew W. (Lucinda) Howard of Portland, OR; two daughters Tamra L. "Tammy" Howard of Austintown and Jill R. (David) Agler of Hubbard; three brothers, Arthur Howard of Pineville, KY, William "Frank" (Rosemary) Howard of Newton Falls and Fred C. (Helen) Howard of Newton Falls; two sisters, Clara A. Evans of Warren and Zelma C. (Donald) Sipka of Newton Falls; six grandchildren, Ashley (Garret) Merkley of Beaufort, SC, Abagail and Addison Agler of Hubbard, Madison, Bucanon and Kennedy Howard of Portland, OR; and two great grandchildren, Liliana and Harper Merkley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Thomas Howard.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 13 11:30 at First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard.
Friends and family may call on Friday, 10:30-11:30, one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Hubbard Defibrillator Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
