HUBBARD Mr. Edward J. Hetmanski Sr., 62, of Hubbard, died Tuesday evening, March 26, 2002 at Northside Hospital. He was born June 27, 1939 in Youngstown, a son of Edward A. and Rose Polchak Hetmanski and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. Hetmanski owned and operated Ed's Lawn Service for 22 years before retiring in 2001. Prior to this he worked for Aeroquip for 22 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Cyril and Methodius Church, Youngstown, a member of its' Altar and Rosary Society, Infant Jesus of Prague Society, a member of the Gift and Memorial Committee and a former Church Councilman. He served with the United States Army, enjoyed fishing, NASCAR racing, camping and the outdoors.
He leaves his wife, the former, Alice A. Chervinko, whom he married July 15, 1967; two sons, Edward J. (Jill) Hetmanski Jr. of Warren and David A. (Melissa) Hetmanski of Hubbard; a brother, Walter Hetmanski of Austintown; a sister, Rosalie Calabria of Austintown and two grandsons, Brandon and Jaret. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held Monday, 9:00 AM at the Kelley~Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard, and 10:00 AM at St. Cyril and Methodius Church, Youngstown.
Friends may call at the Kelley~Robb Funeral Home on Sunday, 5 to 8 PM with a prayer service to be held at 4:45 PM.
