WEST MIDDLESEX, PA Edward T. Greene, Sr., 69, of West Middlesex, died on Monday afternoon, May 26, 2008, at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1939, in Youngstown, a son of William and Theresa Marie Venturo Greene and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Greene was the owner and operator of Ed's Lawn Care for 12 years. Prior to this, he worked at Sharon Steel Corporation for 35 years, retiring in 1992. Ed was a member of St. Anthony's Church in Sharon, PA and enjoyed traveling, especially going to Arizona.

He leaves his wife, the former Elaine M. Opalenik, whom he married on November 17, 1956; a son, Jeffrey A. Greene of Scottsdale, AZ; a daughter, Kim Marie Whitmore Steele of West Middlesex, PA; a brother, James W. (Ann) Greene of Hubbard; a sister, Rita M. (Harry) Fricker of Hubbard; four grandchildren, Nadeen Naegle, Leah Cook, Nathan Greene and James Whitmore; three great-grandchildren, Charlett, Destiny and Soren and many nieces and nephews.

His parents and a son, Edward T. Greene, Jr. preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, 10:00 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard and at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Sharon.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
