HUBBARD Edward D. Foutz, 80, passed away peacefully Monday afternoon at Northside Hospital Medical Center surrounded by his loving family.. He was born March 2, 1928 in Bessemer, PA a son of Paul W. and Catherine DeGaten Foutz and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Foutz worked for Jet Stream in Niles for the last 6 years and previously was a shipper with General Fireproofing for 42 years before retiring in 1990. He was of the Baptist Faith; served with the United States Army Military Police Battalion in Manila in 1946 and 1947. Edward was devoted to his wife of 51 years and the many joys they had traveling together. He enjoyed bowling, his dog Ginger, talking and making people laugh.

His wife, the former, Mildred Riehl, whom he married March 25, 1950, died September 12, 2001.

He leaves a son, Robert A. Foutz of Girard; two devoted and loving daughters, Karen (Gary) Gearhart of Hubbard and Kathleen (Rick Taylor) Stoneburner of Hubbard; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and the love of his life Mildred.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
