Edmund Treharne's Obituary


HUBBARD Edmund S. Treharne, 65, died Sunday afternoon at Northside Hospital Medical Center. He was born August 1, 1943 in Youngstown, a son of Edmund and Hazel Hixson Treharne and lived in Hubbard for 38 years.

Mr. Treharne worked for U.S. Can in Hubbard for 31 years before retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and a former member of church council. He was a member and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Francis J. Hughes Council 2072, and a Fourth Degree Knight of the Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935. Ed was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul DePaul, Hubbard.

Ed served with the United States Army in Germany, and was a member of the New Springfield Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Ed was a Ham Radio Operator with the call sign KD8CEP, enjoyed woodworking and giving away the many craft items he made. He was an avid Cleveland Browns fan and enjoyed spending time with his son and family and was always willing to help anyone in a time of need. Ed will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He leaves his wife, the former, Angeline E. Perline whom he married June 5, 1971; a son, Edmund R. Treharne of Youngstown; two godsons and their children whom he adored, Tod (Christy) Allen of North Jackson and their children, Caden and Brooke and David (Stephanie) Allen of New Middletown and their children, Cody and Olivia; two brothers, Irvin Treharne of North Lima and Art (Essie) Treharne of New Middletown; two stepbrothers, George Franklin of Youngstown and Thomas Franklin of Florida; a step sister, Ellen Fitch of North Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Leroy Treharne and stepfather George Fanklin.

Funeral services will be held Thursday 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and on Thursday 10:00 to 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church.
