HUBBARD Mrs. Dorothy A. Palestro, 77, of Hubbard, died Sunday morning, October 20, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center. She was born August 7, 1925, in Jackson, MI, a daughter of Joseph and Gertrude Hopkins Furlong and had lived in Hubbard for the past 42 years.

Dorothy was an Executive Secretary in the medical profession for 25 years. She was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.

She leaves her husband, Edward F. Palestro Sr., whom she married July 28, 1950; a son, Edward Jr. (Linda) of Hubbard; a daughter, Theresa Possert of Hubbard; four grandsons, Anthony, Eddie, Frank and James Palestro; one granddaughter, Megan Possert; a sister, Florence Korchnak of Campbell; four nephews and a niece; she also leaves a son-in-law, Kenny Possert of Hubbard. A son, Fred Sammartino, two sisters, and her parents are deceased.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 10:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard and 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Church, Hubbard.

There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, Trumbull County Chapter.
