COITSVILLE Doris M. Balakoff, 64, died Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at UPMC Shadyside Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born May 28, 1945 in Bristol, OH, a daughter of Kenneth and Gladys Hartle Angell and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Balakoff was an assembler for JET Stream International, Niles for five years and had previously worked for Northern States Metals, Youngstown for four years and Youngstown Aluminum Products for 28 years.

Doris enjoyed pets, classic cars, hot air balloons and especially her family.

She leaves her husband, Kenneth L. Balakoff, whom she married August 25, 1983; two sons, Ken (Davina) Mumma of Youngstown and Dan (Andrea) Mumma of Beaver Falls, PA; a brother, Kenneth (Sandy) Angell of Warren; five grandchildren, Dan, Jessica, Christopher, Eric and Gregory Mumma; two great grandchildren, Hailey and Jack Patton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Eilene Kolley.
