BROOKFIELD Mr. Donald F. Maier, 72, of Brookfield, died Monday morning, February 24, 2003 at Northside Hospital Medical Center. He was born December 16, 1930 in Falls Creek, PA a son of Edgar R. and Daisy V. Eddinger Maier and lived most of his life in the area.

Mr. Maier worked for RMI Titanium for 25 years before retiring in 1995. After retiring he was a security guard for Ohio Securities. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church, Hubbard, served with the United States Army and enjoyed going to Mountaineer Park with his wife and nieces.

He leaves his wife, the former, Ruth A. Anderson, whom he married January 31, 1984; a stepson, James L. (Martha) Hunt of Boca Raton, FL; two brothers, Edward and Robert Maier both of Liberty; three sisters, Gloria James of Poland, Marsha Funkhouser of Girard and Karen Maier of Austintown; several nieces and nephews including, Vicki Creed of Hubbard and Lori Funkhouser of Girard whom he helped raise.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Wednesday, 6 to 9 PM.
