HUBBARD A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday June 16, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, OH 44505 with The Very Rev. Msgr. Michael J. Cariglio Jr. officiating for Dominick Nirchi, 89, who died Saturday morning June 10, 2017 at his home. He was born October 6, 1927 in Arnara Italy, a son of Sylvester and Maria (Roma) Nirchi and immigrated to the United States in 1946 from Italy.

Mr. Nirchi was a chief mail clerk and head of the stationery department at GATX for 27 years. He was a member of the Fireman's Club at GATX and enjoyed landscaping, cooking, spending time with his grandchildren and especially telling stories about his life growing up in Italy.

His wife, the former Josephine Pezutti, whom he married September 25, 1948 and died January 7, 2009.

He leaves a son, Tom Nirchi of Hubbard; a daughter, Joann (John) Sesser of Hubbard; 2 grandchildren, Erin (Michael) Hacker and Anthony (Nicole) Sesser; four great grandchildren, Andy and Aidan Hacker and Lilliana and Anthony Sesser.

Dominick was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tony Nirchi; a sister, Louisa Valletta and a son, Harold Nirchi.

There are no calling hours. Dominick's final resting place will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
