YOUNGSTOWN Mr. Dominic T. Mucci, 85, of Youngstown, died Thursday January 17, 2002 at his home. He was born August 20, 1916 in Youngstown, a son of Pasquale and Caroline Simeone Mucci and was a lifelong Youngstown resident.
Mr. Mucci was a die setter for General Fireproofing for 40 years before retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church, Youngstown and served with the United States Navy during World War II. Mr. Mucci was a founding member of the Eastside Breakfast Club, a member of the Eastside Garden Club and served with the Civilian Conservation Corp. in the Western United States. He was an avid gardener and animal lover and was a devoted husband, beloved uncle and respected friend.
His wife, the former Mercedes Hill, whom he married July, 1940, died March, 1991. He leaves nephews and nieces, Paul and Rose Mucci of Youngstown, Dorothy Pontino of Youngstown and Caroline and Dominic Barone of Avellino, Italy; many great nieces and nephews and his beloved cat Boo Boo. Two sisters, Catherine Pescione and Theresa Lombard and a brother Paul Mucci are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Monday 9:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard and 10:00 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, Youngstown.
Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Sunday 3 to 6 PM.
