HUBBARD David E. McGlynn, 78, died Monday July 27, 2009 at Hospice House. He was born October 22, 1930 in Youngstown, a son of Tommy and Anna Mae McGlynn and lived most of his life in the area.
Mr. McGlynn served with the United States Navy for 20 years, retiring in 1967. He then worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube for 3 years, Hartford Machine Service for 17 years and has worked for Taco Bell in Hubbard for 17 years, since they opened in 1992. Dave has the distinction of being the oldest Taco Bell employee in the United States.
David was a member of St. Patrick Church, Hubbard and enjoyed baseball and traveling.
His wife, the former, Jean M. Darrow, whom he married, February 24, 1968, died June 23, 2008.
He leaves three sons, Charles (Nanette) Thompson of Hubbard, James (Laura) McGlynn of Texas and David Price of Las Vegas, NV; three daughters, Susan M. (Steve) Shrader of Hartford, OH, Mary Anne (Donald Orr) Mullins of Masury and Donna Finney of New Mexico; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Patrick Thompson and a daughter, Patricia Klingbeil.
Funeral services will be held Friday 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.
Family and friends may call on Thursday 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
