BROOKFIELD Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard for Darwin R. Peabody, 53, of 6360 Amy Boyle Rd. who died of cancer Saturday evening at St. Joseph Medical Center, Warren, OH. He was born July 6, 1947, in Greenville, PA, a son of George and Alice Ayers Peabody and lived most of his life in the area.

Mr. Peabody owned and operated Peabody Carpets in Brookfield for 20 years. He was a member of the Brookfield United Methodist Church, a former member and Past Commander of the American Legion, Greenville, PA, a former member of the 40/8 of the American Legion and enjoyed football. He served with the Navy during the Viet Nam War.

In addition to his mother, Alice Camp of Dinuba, CA, he leaves his wife, the former Jeannine E. Shaffer, whom he married December 17, 1977; a son, Daniel R. Peabody, at home; a daughter, Darleen R. Peabody, at home; a sister, Sandra Sorber of Dinuba, CA. His father is deceased.

Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard from 12:00 to 1:00 PM on Wednesday.

Rev. Geoffrey Oswald of the Brookfield United Methodist Church will officiate.

Burial will be in Brookfield Township Cemetery.
