Daniel Scutillo's Obituary


BROOKFIELD Daniel Scutillo, 90, formerly of Hubbard, died Friday evening at Cortland Health Care Center. He was born December 25, 1917, in Springhill Township, PA, a son of Nick and Mary Isola Scutillo and was a life long area resident.

Mr. Scutillo worked for Sharon Steel Corp. for 35 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of the VFW in Farrell, PA, enjoyed playing cards, building and construction work and spending time with his family. A
U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was awarded the Purple Heart for being wound in France, the EAME Theater Ribbon with four bronze stars and the Good Conduct Ribbon.

His wife, the former Mildred Louise Cunningham, whom he married June 14, 1941, died May 1, 1995. He leaves a son, Nicholas R. (Dee) Scutillo of Hubbard, a daughter, Sandra L. (William) Dudas of Masury; two brothers, Mike Scutillo of Masury, and Ralph Scutillo of Hobe Sound, FL; three sisters, Philomenia Harner of Warren, Mickie Deichler of Gilbert, AZ and Grace Rohrbach of Allentown, PA; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Daniel Scutillo, a grandson, Scott Scutillo, a brother, Tony Scutillo and two sisters, Josephine Brake and Louise Bohyer.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 pm.
