HUBBARD Daniel P. Fricker, 42, died Monday afternoon after an extended illness at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center with his family by his side. He was born May 2, 1968 in Youngstown, a son of Paul W. and Julia A. Fecych Fricker and was a lifelong area resident.

Mr. Fricker worked for PSK Tool and Die as a machinist after graduating from ITT Tech with a degree in CAD, and had worked at several machine shops. He was a 1986 graduate of Hubbard High School. Dan enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, NASCAR and good food.

He leaves his parents, Paul and Julia of Hubbard; a son, Jacob Fricker of Struthers; a daughter, Jenna Fricker of Struthers; a brother, Richard W. Fricker of Hubbard; two sisters, Lynne (Jeff) Stiver of Hubbard and Christine (Mike) Julian of Dublin; four nieces and nephews, Jason and Christopher Stiver and Tony and Jamie Julian.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Amy Pokopatz, who died November 28, 2009.

There are no calling hours or services per Daniel's request.

Final resting place will be at St. Mary's Cemetery.
