YOUNGSTOWN Colleen R. Gibboney, 67, died Monday evening February 5, 2024 at Hospice House. She was born November 15, 1956 in Youngstown, a daughter of Orie and Lucille Palmier Gibboney and was a lifelong area resident.

Colleen, a 1974 graduate of Hubbard High School, attended Youngstown State University and was a homemaker. She was a member of Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, the Women's Kinship Group and a host of other church groups. Colleen loved her family and friends, especially spending time with her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles and word searches, attending church and was an avid baker.

She leaves her loving children, Joy Marie Wagner of Grafton, OH, Jessica Lynn Gonzalez of Youngstown, Christopher Jordan (Jalaeia) Gibboney of Girard and Daniel Elijah Williams of Youngstown; a brother, David Gibboney of Hubbard and five grandchildren, Ja'Khi Gibboney, Amina Williams, Carmelo Gibboney, King Gibboney and Amar'e Gibboney.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Dennis Gibboney and her aunt Jennie Palmier.

Family and friends may call on Friday February 9, 2024 one hour prior to the funeral services from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Phillips Memorial Baptist Church, 1407 Victor Ave., Youngstown, OH 44505. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at Phillips Memorial Baptist Church with Pastor Larry Alexander officiating.

Interment will be at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
