MCDONALD Clarence F. McQuiston, 95, formerly of Liberty Twp., died Saturday morning, July 10, 2010 at his home. He was born February 12, 1915 in Youngstown, a son of Fred and Anna Hastings McQuiston and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. McQuiston was a pattern maker for General Fireproofing where he started working when he was 17. He was a member of the Churchill United Methodist Church and did volunteer carpenter work at the church. Clarence enjoyed traveling, and climbed the Mayan Temple in Mexico when he was 85 years old, he also enjoyed woodworking. He served with the United States Army during World War II.
His wife, the former Martha L. Waser, whom he married July 27, 1957, died June 10, 1995.
He leaves a sister, Kathryn Foltz of Hubbard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Charles McQuiston and Barney "Warren" McQuiston and a sister, Ruth Hart.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12:00 PM at the Churchill United Methodist Church.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Churchill United Methodist Church, 189 Churchill Hubbard Rd., Youngstown, OH 44505.
Burial will be at Kerr Cemetery.
