LIBERTY Clara E. Sarrach, 76 of Autumn Hills Care Center, formerly of Logan Way, died Friday evening at the nursing home. She was born June 26, 1925, in Dunlo, PA, a daughter of Malden and Margaret McKay Boser and moved to this area in 1929.
Mrs. Sarrach was a 1943 graduate of Niles McKinley High School and also graduated from the St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing as a registered nurse in 1946. She worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital from 1967 to 1969 and had previously worked at Warren City Hospital.
She was a member of St. Edwards Church, Youngstown, for more than 50 years, and the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 235 of Girard.
Her husband, Edwin S. Sarrach, whom she married December 4, 1946, died January 23, 1989. She leaves three sons, Edwin S. Sarrach Jr. of State College, PA, Keith W. Sarrach of Youngstown, and Malden "Jay" L. Sarrach of Girard; two daughters, Rebecca C. Waltz and Tracy E. Miller, both of Liberty; one brother, Allen M. Boser of Howland; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Her parents and a sister, Rita Kovach, are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 9:15 AM at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard and at 10:00 AM at St. Edwards Church, Youngstown.
Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
