Charles Sebo's Obituary


HUBBARD Charles C. Sebo, 81, of Hubbard, died on Thursday evening, February 7, 2008, at Sharon Regional Health System. He was born on February 12, 1926, in Youngstown, a son of George and Theresa Lederman Szabo, and moved to Hubbard in 1988.

Mr. Sebo worked at Republic Steel Corporation for 30 years, retiring in 1983, and was a bus driver for Sts. Cyril & Methodius School for 10 years. He was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary Catholic Church in Youngstown and a veteran of the U. S. Army, having served in the European Theatre during World War II. Charles enjoyed working on cars and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.

He leaves his wife, the former Harriet "Hattie" Ashman, whom he married on October 2, 1948; a son, George E. Sebo of Hubbard; two daughters, Phyllis Sebo of Boardman and Charlene (Russell) Veach of Hubbard and a brother, George R. Sebo of Liberty.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, Lewis and William Sebo and Frank, Joseph, Ernest, Gustav and Eugene Cherry.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
