Obituary


HUBBARD Charles J. Mihalak, 85 of Hubbard, died Sunday morning, May 9, 2004, at Liberty Health Care Center. He was born March 10, 1919, in Fairmont, WV, a son of Paul and Sabrina Bonk Mihalak and lived most of his life in Hubbard.

Mr. Mihalak worked for the U.S. Can Corp. in Hubbard for 34 years retiring in 1986 and was a member of Payne's Corner Church, Brookfield and the Veterans of Foreign War, Post 3767 of Hubbard. He was an avid supporter of the youth ministry of his son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Janet Mihalak and also the Shipwreck Museum in Paradise, MI. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and the outdoors and served in the Philippines with the Army in World War II.

He leaves his wife, the former Cecelia Balestrino, whom he married November 26, 1946; one son, Rev. Paul C. (Janet) Mihalak of Hubbard.

His parents, a son who died in infancy, six brothers, Joe, Steve, Paul, James, John and Wendell Mihalak and a sister, Mildred Wagner are deceased.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, 5 to 8 PM.
