HUBBARD Charles R. "Cookie" DeVite, 76, of Hubbard, died Wednesday evening, January 31, 2007, at Boardman Community Care Center. He was born on February 13, 1930, in Masury, a son of Andrew and Augusta Doyle DeVite and was a lifelong area resident.
Mr. DeVite worked for the Sharon Steel Corporation for 42 years, retiring in 1990. He was a Christian and enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his family.
He leaves his wife, the former Margaret Babos, whom he married on May 17, 1950; two daughters, Renee (George) Calko of Lordstown, OH and Debbie (Mike) Stingis of Hartford, OH; a brother, Ralph DeVite of Brookfield, OH; three sisters, Agnes Stout of Andover, OH, Shirley Brest of Sharon, PA and Mary Ellen Marstellar of Strongsville, OH; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, where friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.
