remember him as a great teacher with a droll sense of humor. He enjoyed woodworking,
construction, gardening, playing horseshoes, cheering on the Florida Marlins, and
creating stained glass, but most of all, spending time with his family and friends. Charles
had endless energy. He built several boats and travel trailers, and helped to maintain

built another family home in Brookfield, Ohio. Charles, and his wife of 72 years, Una, were avid travelers and members of the Wally Byum Airstream Club. They visited all 50 states, most of the Central American countries, and the Caribbean Islands. For many years, they spent their winters in Venice, Florida, and recently moved to Lake Vista Retirement Community in Cortland, Ohio.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Una Bailey; his sisters, Mildred (Dean) Foster and Juanita (Rueben) Conrad; and his brother, Ivan (Sue) Bailey.
He leaves two sons, Charles David Bailey, and Stephen (Dorene) Bailey, both of Hubbard; and two grandchildren, Alan (Chryssie) Bailey of Pittsburgh, PA, and Lauren (Patrick) Fawcett of Beaver, PA.
