HUBBARD Cecelia M. Mihalak, 87, of Hubbard, died Friday morning, June 22, 2007, at her residence. She was born on February 29, 1920, in Hubbard, a daughter of Francesco and Ellen Adessa Balestrino and was a lifelong Hubbard resident.
Mrs. Mihalak, a homemaker, formerly worked at the General Fireproofing Corporation during World War II and at the family-owned Silver Star Bar & Grill. She was a member of Paynes Corner Christian Church in Vienna. Cecelia enjoyed fishing, crocheting and raising the boxer breed of dogs.
Her husband, Charles J. Mihalak, whom she married on November 24, 1948, died on May 9, 2004.
She leaves a son, Reverend Paul C. (Janet) Mihalak of Hubbard and a brother, Thomas Balestrino of Hubbard.
Besides her husband, her parents and a brother, Anthony Balestrino, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
