HUBBARD Catherine D. Carsone, 87, died Friday May 30, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She was born May 21, 1927 in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Antionette Mirto Popio and moved to Hubbard in 1948.

Mrs. Carsone was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church and had worked at Isaly Dairy Co. for 4 years prior to getting married and taking care of her family. Catherine enjoyed cooking, gardening, taking care of her yard and especially loved her kids, grandkids and great grandkids.

Her husband, Paul L. Carsone, whom she married October 16, 1948, died March 8, 1999.

She leaves a son, Louis P. (Deborah) Carsone of Hubbard; a daughter, Diane Carsone of Hubbard; a brother, Morris (Bridget) Popio of Youngstown; four grandchildren, Eric, Sabrina, Christopher and Ashley; five great grandchildren, Breanna, Ryan, Gabriella, Evan and Cecilia. She also leaves a special niece, Louise Mascara.

Catherine was preceded in death by her parents; an infant sister, Catherine; a sister, Phyllis Pallante and a niece Jeanette Pallante.

Family and friends may call on Monday 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 9:30 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home and 10:00 AM at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church.

The family requests memorial donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice in memory of Catherine.

Interment will be at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
