HUBBARD Carrie F. Shipton, 86, of Hubbard, died Sunday morning, March 12, 2006, at Orange Village Care Center. She was born September 12, 1919, in Woodlawn, PA, a daughter of Horatio O. and Zula Daniel and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Shipton was a salesclerk for McKelvey's Department Store for many years and prior to this worked for Fisher's Meat Market at Pyatt Street Farmers Market. Carrie was a member of Coitsville Presbyterian Church and enjoyed golf, playing cards and bowling.

Her husband, Charles F. Shipton, Jr., whom she married August 6, 1936, died February 6, 2006.

She leaves a son, Charles F. (Jessie) Shipton III of Evans City, PA; two daughters, Loretta (Robert) King of Morehaven, FL and Sarah Emerick of Nichols, NY; a brother, Daniel O. Daniel of Miami, FL; 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and a great great-grandchild.

Besides her husband, her parents, a daughter, Jeanette Shipton and a grandson, Charles F. Shipton IV, two brothers, Everett Daniel and Horatio Daniel, Jr. and a sister, Evelyn Davies, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at Coitsville Presbyterian Church.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard and from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
