LIBERTY Funeral services will be held on Tuesday July 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home for Carol A. Mattern, 70, who died Tuesday evening, July 4, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman. She was born August 24, 1946 in Covington, VA a daughter of Alvin and Ora Dilley Runion and moved to Hubbard in 1949 from Virginia.

Mrs. Mattern, a homemaker, was a member of the First Baptist Church of Hubbard. She enjoyed painting ceramics, sewing, and traveling with her husband to visit lighthouses and go on hot air balloon rides. She also loved her cat Pepper.

She leaves her husband, Dennis K. Mattern, whom she married April 3, 1976 and a daughter, Laura V. Mattern of Warren.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Delores Gregor.

Family and friends may call on Monday July 10, 2017 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
