HUBBARD A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Hubbard, with Fr. Timothy O'Neill officiating, preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:15 a.m. in the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home for Carmen Petrella, 85, of Hubbard, who passed away at 12:50 a.m. Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Hospice House in Poland.

Mrs. Carmen Petrella was born on February 17, 1929 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Joseph M. and Anna (Church) Romo.

She was a life-long area resident of Hubbard and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hubbard and attended Hubbard High School. Carmen was a homemaker and loved to cook, garden and an occasional trip to a casino.

Besides her husband, James Petrella, whom she married on June 11, 1964, she is survived by a son Howard and sisters Katherine Sheppard of Helmet, CA; Mary (Ronald) Round of Poland; Doris (William) Walker of Hubbard; Dolores Cole of Denver, CO; Marjorie (Larry) Markasky of Hubbard; three brothers Anthony (Dolly) Romo, Michael (Nancy) Romo, Charles (Mae) Romo; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she preceded in death by a brother Louis Romo and a sister Angeline Heiderman.

Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.

Burial will take place in Hubbard Union Cemetery following the Mass.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Mrs. Petrella's name to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Road, Poland, Ohio 44514.
