Carmen Papa's Obituary


HUBBARD Carmen Papa, 85, of Hubbard, died on Wednesday morning, November 14, 2007 at Sharon Regional Health System. He was born on February 13, 1922, in Pittsburgh, PA, a son of Ralph and Angeline Nicoletta Papa, moving to Hubbard in 1984.

Mr. Papa was a general inspector for the Bureau of Building Inspection for the City of Pittsburgh for 25 years, retiring in 1984. A U. S. Army veteran having served during World War II, he was a member of St. Patrick Church and the Knights of Columbus, both in Hubbard. He had been a Democratic County Committeeman Member for the City of Pittsburgh for the 1st District, 12th Ward.

His wife, the former Lena J. Camuso, whom he married on August 8, 1942, died on April 10, 2000.

He leaves two brothers, Anthony Papa of Plum Boro, PA and Santo Papa of Monroeville, PA; one sister, Olympia LoAlbo of Verona, PA.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William Papa, a half brother, Dan Ferrari and two sisters, Mary Castagnola and Lucy Kuehn.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, 9:15 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church, both in Hubbard.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
