YOUNGSTOWN Carmel "Skip" Naples, our loving mom and friend, passed away at 3:50 p.m. Monday, April 9, with her family at her side.
Mrs. Naples was born on November 19, 1919, in Youngstown, a daughter of Frank and Mary Laurie Cassetto and was a lifelong Youngstown resident. Mrs. Naples, a homemaker, was a very active member of St. Rocco's Church for 75 years. She enjoyed car shows and was an Elvis Presley fan.
Her husband, Anthony "Badeye" Naples, whom she married on August 1, 1940, died on June 1, 1997.
She leaves two sons, Anthony (Kathy) Naples and Dennis (Linda) Naples, both of Youngstown and a daughter, Nancy Zupo of Youngstown; a brother, Norman Sauce of Youngstown; nine grandchildren, Anthony N., Charlene, Mark, Robert, Kimberly, Ralphie, Desiree, Melissa and Kelly; seven great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Alexis, Taylor, Mark Jr., Gentry-Rose, Anisah and Victoria Marie and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, her parents, a sister, Lucy Jarvis, two brothers, Andy Cassetto and Frank Cassetto and son-in-law, Ralph Zupo, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
