HUBBARD Carmel Sisco DePaul, 82, of Hubbard, died Monday afternoon, April 9, 2007, at Hospice Care of V.N.A. in Wilkes Barre, PA. She was born on July 16, 1924, in Hubbard, a daughter of James and Lucy Carano Vernell and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. DePaul, a homemaker, was a member of St. Patrick Church in Hubbard and a former member of the Altar & Rosary Society, Legion of Mary and Adua Lodge. Carmel was an avid bowler and golfer.
Her first husband, Edward Sisco, whom she married on June 29, 1946, died on January 30, 1979 and her second husband, Anthony "Rummy" DePaul, whom she married on December 28, 1990, died on November 16, 2004.
She leaves a daughter, Linda (David) Sisco Brown of Hanover Twp., PA; a son, Michael J. (Mary Ann) Sisco of Fairfield, OH; four stepsons, Donald (Vonnie) DePaul of Tipp City, OH, David (Donna) DePaul of Cortland, Douglas (Mary Jane) DePaul of Liberty and Darryl (Cynthia) DePaul of Hubbard; a brother, James (Susie) Vernell of Hubbard; four sisters, Louise (Walter) Borecki of McDonald, Rita Bolchalk of Hubbard, Julia (Dom) Smaldino of Youngstown and Rae (Ron Glaser) McGhee of Hubbard; three sisters-in-law, Mary Vernell of Hubbard, Lillian (John) Froncek of Hanover, Twp. PA and Agnes Simpson of Moorehead City, NC and two grandchildren, Daniel of Spartanburg, SC and Susanne of Fairfield, OH.
Besides her husbands, her parents, two brothers, Louis and John Vernell and a sister, Ann Dunn, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home and at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
