CINCINNATI, OH Bill Allen, 57, formerly of Hubbard, died on Wednesday evening, June 13, 2007, at Arbors @ Milford Nursing Center. He was born on September 16, 1949, in Youngstown, a son of W. Robert "Bob" and Irene A. Slavik Allen and lived most of his life in Hubbard until moving to Cincinnati in 2000.
Mr. Allen worked for many years at Fairhaven North Road Workshop and most recently was employed by Clermont County Board of MRDD. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Hubbard, where he served as an usher and a 1968 graduate of Hubbard High School. Bill participated in the 1972 Special Olympics for swimming in California and won many different trophies and medals. He enjoyed bowling and was an Ohio Special Olympics medalist in bowling in 2003. Bill was a great Elvis Presley fan.
He leaves his mother, Irene Allen of Cincinnati; a sister, Marijane (Thomas) Olenick of Cincinnati; a nephew, Christopher (Laurie) Olenick of New Richmond, OH and a niece, Cindy (Brian) Lyons of Milford, OH; 6 great-nieces and nephews, Morgan, Kayla, Everett, Brianna, Thomas and Sean.
His father preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Family and friends may call from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
