HUBBARD Betty L. Walter, 77, of Hubbard, died on Monday evening, April 9, 2007. She was born on February 4, 1930, in Youngstown, a daughter of Ivan and Davina Williamson Lightner and was a lifelong area resident.

Mrs. Walter, a homemaker, was a member of the former Evangelical Congregational Church in Hubbard. Betty enjoyed gardening and working in her yard.

Her husband, Edward M. Walter, whom she married on July 9, 1949, died on May 12, 1984.

She leaves a son, Edward L. (Nancy) Walter of Wyoming, MI; two daughters, Cheryl (Alfred) Hillier and Gail Wentz, both of Girard; a brother, Lester Lightner of Niles, OH; five grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, her parents, two brothers, Harold Lightner and Edward J. Lightner, preceded her in death.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 16, at Hubbard Union Cemetery.
