Biography

HUBBARD Betty A. Uher, 83, died Monday morning October 29, 2012 at her home. She was born March 15, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of Edward J. and Leona E. Ardinger Zins.

Mrs. Uher, a homemaker, was a graduate of Scienceville High School and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Her passion was writing religious poetry in her younger years and truly enjoyed listening to country music and making people laugh. Her motto was, Live Well, Laugh Often and Love Much.

Her husband, James J. Uher, whom she married August 2, 1948, died August 1, 2011.

Betty leaves two sons, John Uher and her New Years Baby of 1950 James Uher; a daughter whom she referred to as her guardian angel and was her caregiver all of her life, Sherry (Jim Slattery) Uher of Hubbard; a brother, Bob Zins and a sister, Lois Lee.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dan Uher and four brothers and 6 sisters.

There are no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Valley and to all of the neighbors that helped after the death of her husband James.
