HUBBARD Betty K. Stanovich, 85, died Sunday afternoon February 3, 2013 at John XXIII Home in Hermitage. She was born February 23, 1927 in Northampton England, a daughter of Charles E. and Louise Pell Bennett and came to the United States in 1946.
Mrs. Stanovich was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hubbard and worked in the Cafeteria for the Hubbard Board of Education for 12 years, retiring in 1987. Betty was a member of the Wednesday Card Club in Hubbard, the Thursday Hubbard Senior Citizens, the International Friendship Club, the Hermitage AARP Chapter 3616 and the National AARP. She also enjoyed playing cards and traveling.
Her husband, Mike Stanovich, whom she married June 2, 1945, died October 18, 1989.
She leaves a son, Dr. Keith E. (Dr. Paula) Stanovich of Portland, OR; a sister, Nora Perou of Northampton England; a sister-in-law Brenda Bennett of Northampton England and several nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Eddy and Harry Bennett and a sister, Maud Bennett.
Niece Nancy Stanovich Tedrow gave wonderful care to Betty in her last year of illness.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 1:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
