HUBBARD Betty E. Matthews, 83, of Hubbard, died Friday morning, April 6, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Health Center. She was born on December 14, 1923, in Woodland, PA, a daughter of William R. and Mabel B. Livingston Lytle and lived in Hubbard most of her life.

Mrs. Matthews had worked for General Electric Corporation, Trumbull Lamp Division in Warren for many years. She was a member of Liberty United Presbyterian Church and enjoyed puzzles.

Her husband, William R. Matthews, whom she married on May 25, 1963, died on November 19, 1992.

She leaves her son, William R. Matthews of Simpsonville, SC; two sisters, Charlotte Pieton of Hubbard and Beverly O'Rell of Liberty and three grandchildren, Casey Matthews, Krysta Matthews and William Matthew Keeley.

Besides her husband, her parents and two brothers, Paul Livingston and William Lytle, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home in Hubbard, where family and friends may call from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
