YOUNGSTOWN Berniece A. Thomas, 75 of Youngstown, died Tuesday morning, June 24, 2003, at the Omni Manor Health Care Center. She was born May 11, 1928 in Garmentown, PA, a daughter of Floyd and Marie Huey Reed and lived in the area for 40 years.

Mrs. Thomas was a homemaker and enjoyed writing poetry and short stories.

Her husband, Joseph P. Thomas, Sr. whom she married in 1956, died October, 1971. She leaves two sons, Rev. Joseph P. (Donna) Thomas Jr., of Lowellville and Howard "Butch" J. (Judy) Neville of Bakersfield, CA; three daughters, Bonnie (Rev. William) Ekhardt, of Bakersfield, CA, Celia (Mike) Lowshe, of Los Angeles, California, and Fayemarie Constantino of West Palm Beach, Florida; eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Her parents and a brother, Jerald Reed, preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held 7:00 PM Thursday at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, 5 to 7 PM.
