HUBBARD Bernice V. McKernan, 87, died Monday afternoon March 26, 2012 at Hospice House. She was born March 11, 1925 in Youngstown, a daughter of Benjamin and Minnie Dunn and was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. McKernan, a homemaker, was a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Hubbard being a past Noble Grand. Bernie was a longtime bowler and loved baking for her family and friends.
She leaves her long time companion, Chuck Nock; a daughter, Bonnie Black of McCalla, Alabama; a son, Russell Villar and his partner Mark Smith of Boardman; a grandson, Shawn (Susan) Black of Lawrence, KS; a great granddaughter, Josie Black of Lawrence, KS; a daughter, Cheryl Villar of Orlando; and her extended family, the Nocks, the McCulloughs and the Fishers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Michael "Mickey" Villar and a sister, Edith Cataline.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, 1:00 PM at the Kelley-Robb-Cummins Funeral Home.
Family and friends may call on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Final resting place will be Forest Lawn Cemetery.
