HUBBARD Berneace H. Beckner, 75, of Hubbard, died Monday afternoon, April 25, 2005, at Northside Medical Center. She was born July 9, 1929, in Colport, PA, a daughter of Walter and Veda Spicher Conrad and lived most of her life in the area moving to Hubbard in 1962.
Mrs. Beckner worked for Gray Drug Store in the McGuffey Plaza for 32 years retiring in 1985. She was a member of Corner House Christian Church and Central Christian Church, both in Hubbard. She enjoyed cooking and watching nature.
She leaves her husband, Earl Beckner, whom she married March 5, 1983; two sons, Donald L. (Sheila) Palko of Chandlersville, OH and Kenneth P. Palko of Youngstown; two daughters, Susan B. (James) Powell of Earl Park, IN and Brenda (Bill) Ojendyk of Chicago, IL; four sisters, Alverta Garthwait of Boardman, Gladene Boren of North Jackson, OH, Dorothy Beight of New Springfield, OH and Eleanor Gologram of Alliance, OH; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Her parents, a sister, Beatrice Westover and four brothers, Clair, Blair, Kenneth and Ralph Conrad are deceased.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:30 pm at Corner House Christian Church, Hubbard.
Friends may call at the Kelley-Robb Funeral Home, Hubbard on Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm and from 12:30 to 1:30 pm prior to the service at the church on Thursday.
